Questions

The short answers

Everything people ask before their first eSIM.

An eSIM is a built-in digital SIM. Nothing to carry, lose or cut: the profile loads onto your phone via a QR code in minutes, and you switch countries right in settings.
Most devices since 2018: iPhone XR/XS and newer, Google Pixel 3+, Samsung Galaxy S20+, many iPads and Huawei flagships.
No. This eSIM is for mobile data only and has no number for calls or SMS — your main number stays on your regular SIM.
No. Using an Esim.Black eSIM requires no contract — just activate the card whenever it suits you.
An "unlimited" plan isn't truly without limits. Each day you get an allowance of high-speed data (4G/LTE/5G); once the daily allowance is used, the internet keeps working but the speed is reduced (a Fair Use Policy, FUP) — still enough for the basics: messaging, email and browsing. High speed returns the next day, as the daily allowance resets roughly once every 24 hours, and the day count starts from your first connection. The reduced speed is "best-effort" and depends on network load, so it can be lower during peak hours or in congested areas. Tethering (hotspot) is supported.
Base it on your habits. Roughly 1 GB covers: 1 hour of Full HD (1080p) video or 4–5 hours in low quality, about 20 hours of music, or 1–1.5 hours of HD video calls. Browsing pages without images uses about 250–300 KB per page.
The available network technology depends on the plan and the country. Every plan shows a RAT indicator — 3G/4G/5G — for the fastest connection available. Check it before you buy to pick a plan with the network you need.

5G is available in many countries across Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Americas, the Middle East and beyond, and the list keeps growing. Always rely on the RAT indicator shown for each plan for up-to-date 5G support — it stays current automatically.
We accept Russian bank cards — T-Bank, Sberbank, Alfa-Bank, VTB — and SBP transfers. If the eSIM never activated, we refund within 14 days, no questions asked.
Absolutely. Refill data or add a new country straight from your account — no need to swap a physical card. Plans you can top up are marked "top-up available".
You can top up while the eSIM is active and in use — in the "New" or "Active" status. A top-up adds its data and validity to whatever is left: e.g. to a 1 GB / 7-day plan you can add another 1 GB / 7 days, for 2 GB / 14 days in total. Up to 10 top-ups are allowed. Once the eSIM has expired, topping up is no longer possible.
Right after payment you receive a QR code by SMS and in your account. Setup takes 1–2 minutes; you can activate before departure or on arrival.
It depends on the plan — we always show when the period starts in the plan details before payment, and on the eSIM card until the period has started. There are three options:

• On first network connection — the period starts only when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination. Most plans work this way: you can buy and install the eSIM in advance without losing days.
• On install — the period starts as soon as the profile is installed, even without a network connection. Install such an eSIM shortly before your trip.
• Right after purchase — the period starts at payment, even if the eSIM isn't installed yet. Buy these plans on the day of your trip or on arrival.
Yes, you can install the profile ahead of time. But first check in the plan details when the validity period starts: if it's "on first connection", install it even a week early — days count only at your destination; if it's "on install" or "right after purchase", the period starts earlier, so buy such an eSIM closer to your trip.
Your account has the details for manual setup.

iPhone: Settings → Cellular → "Add eSIM" → at the bottom choose "Enter Details Manually" and fill in the fields.
Android: Settings → "Network & Internet" → "+" next to "Mobile network" → "Next" on "Don't have a SIM card?" → "Enter code manually" and type the activation code from the app. Then enable the eSIM, "Mobile data" and "Data roaming".
To get your eSIM working on the first try, keep a few key points in mind:

• Data works only in the destination country — outside it the eSIM will have no internet.
• Russian eSIM: after activation the connection may be blocked for up to 24 hours — a Roskomnadzor requirement. To unblock it, follow the link in the SMS from the operator.
• Turn off your VPN during activation — otherwise the check will fail.
• Enable roaming for this eSIM in your phone settings (Settings → Cellular → the eSIM → Data Roaming).
• Turn on Cellular Data for the eSIM line and select it for mobile internet.
• Don't delete an installed eSIM — it can't be reinstalled: even the same QR code may not install the profile again.
If your eSIM won't install, check each point:

• Your device must be unlocked — eSIM doesn't work on carrier-locked or contract devices. Contact your carrier about unlocking.
• Your device must support eSIM.
• You need a strong data connection — the profile is downloaded over the network and must traverse a reliable connection (Wi-Fi is best).
• Your device must not be behind a firewall that blocks the profile download.
• The QR code must not have already been scanned by another device.
Yes. The eSIM runs as a second line, so your main number stays active for calls and SMS while data goes through the eSIM.
Yes, on dual-SIM devices you can use both your physical SIM (home number) and an eSIM at the same time. Choose which line handles cellular data and set the default voice line.

We suggest turning off data roaming on your home number but turning on Wi-Fi calling (if your home carrier supports it): this keeps your home number reachable anywhere — over Wi-Fi or via your data-only eSIM.
Yes. Turn on data roaming for your eSIM and turn it off for your home SIM to avoid high charges. On iPhone: Settings → Cellular → the eSIM → Data Roaming. This step is required for the eSIM to work.
Yes, tethering is supported — you can share the eSIM's internet with other devices.
Yes. iPhones can store around 10 eSIMs and Android phones 5–7. Only one or two can be active at a time; the rest stay installed but inactive on the device. Label your eSIMs so you don't mix them up.
No. An eSIM is tied to the specific device where it was installed and can't be transferred to another phone. If the profile hasn't been installed and activated yet, you can install it on a different device instead.
No. A QR code works on a single phone and can't be reused on another. The same code can't install the eSIM a second time — neither on another phone nor on the same one after deletion.
Creating — order placed, the provider is issuing the profile.
Ready to install — profile issued, you can set it up via QR code.
Installed — profile loaded on the device but not yet enabled.
Connected — profile enabled, no traffic yet.
Active — working state, traffic is flowing.
Data used up — the data package is exhausted.
Expired — the validity period has ended.
Terminated — the profile has been terminated.
Issuance failed — the provider couldn't issue the profile.
Deleted / Disabled — the eSIM was deleted or disabled in your account.

Statuses don't update instantly — give it a little time.
Work through these steps:

• Select the new eSIM for cellular data: Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data → choose the eSIM and turn it On.
• Turn on "Data Roaming" for the new eSIM.
• Check the signal indicator:
  — bars showing — you're connected to a tower;
  — "No Signal" — not connected to a tower yet.
• If there's no signal, restart your device for a fresh connection.
• If you have signal but no data, try selecting the network manually.

Tips: the first connection can take a few minutes to an hour; turn off any VPN; toggle the eSIM off and on.
In your network settings, assign roles to each line: set the eSIM for mobile data only, and keep calls and SMS on your main SIM.
In Russia the eSIM runs on Beeline and Tele2. If roaming is on but there is still no connection:

• Make sure "Cellular Data" is enabled for the eSIM line.
• In network settings, manually select Beeline — it also sends a confirmation SMS.
• Toggle Airplane mode off and on.
• After activation the connection may be blocked for up to 24 hours per Roskomnadzor rules — to unblock it, follow the link in the SMS from the operator.
You may have actually used up your data — usage isn't always measured in real time, so the remaining amount on screen can lag. Check your exact consumption in Settings → Cellular.
Many factors affect speed: your phone model, the available network technology, the time of day and tower load, plus the sites and apps you use. A simple phone restart often helps. If the speed is still low, send us screenshots of speed tests with LTE on and off.
No. An eSIM that has already been added can't be deleted and added again: the QR code is single-use, and once the profile is deleted it won't install from that code a second time — neither on this phone nor on another. So don't delete the eSIM from your phone settings until you're done using it. If the internet isn't working, don't delete the profile — contact support instead.
If an error occurred while issuing the profile (the "Issuance failed" status), the payment is credited to your internal balance. Just order the eSIM again — you can pay for the new order from that balance.
